Voice lessons – ”Free Voice” Method And Why So Effective
Voice lessons using the ”Free Voice” method is effective for all ages. Voice rebuilding can be done at any age
Your larynx is your singing instrument and there are five muscle groups that affect it, but two groups of muscle are used to directly create character, quality (color and texture) pitch and intensity of tone. The two muscle groups are:
1. Arytenoid Group 2. Crico- Thyroid Group
Even though there are several muscle groups affecting the larynx, only two have a direct relationship to the production of tone. This is why there are only two registers. Women and men have two registers and they are directly coupled with the muscle action of these two groups.
1. The Lower register (commonly referred to as the chest voice) is initiated by the pulling action of the arytenoid muscle group while being the crico-thyroid holds firmly. 2. The Upper register (commonly referred to as the Falsetto Voice) is initiated by the crico-thyroid muscle group while being held firmly by the arytenoid group of muscles.
The upper register produces a high, thin more feminine sound while the lower register is coarser and produces a heavy tone. With men, this sound difference is more pronounced between the registers.
The break, which occurs between E and F above middle C, is a natural division of the two registers. This break is created by two different muscular actions of the different muscles talked about before.
The break is erased by the ”Free Voice” method, which focuses on changing this fundamental but involuntary response.
The upper and lower registers are blended into one huge vocal range through using the ’Free Voice” method.
His Marietta voice lessons develop new ways of thinking and a total realignment of the coordinative response which results in new vocal responses, new singing habits, and an extended range, maximum resonance and vocal endurance.
Voice lessons employing the ”Free Voice” method is a process of singing through the break between your two registers. You will eventually sing without the breaks, making a blended tone from the upper and lower register through the techniques you are taught to change the coordinative response. When it is all said and done, you will be able to zip your vocal cords like a zipper when you travel up and down the scale from low to high notes and experience a smooth transition from your chest to your head voice.
While some students of ”Free Voice” see results in increased range in several months, most have to be patient as they develop over time. You will notice an enrichment of the tone, improved flexibility, pitch accuracy, more agility, better balance, and dramatic increase in your range after applying voice lessons that are built on the ”Free Voice” platform.
