So first off, by all-time I mean up to this point. I am sure Alicia Keys is not done writing for her lifetime, but here are the five best put out by the New York City native.
1. No One – This song was the first single off of “As I Am,” and showed off Alicia’s range like few other songs. The passion, which you can see on her music video, rocketed this hit to #1 and became an instant hit.
2. This one takes us back a decade, as “Falling” was Alicia Keys’ first major music hit. This came off of her debut release in the later part of the last decade, and boy, has she made her impact known since then.
3. Number three on our list is the song If I Ain’t Got You. This is one of the best piano songs I’ve ever heard and it came straight off her Diary album, one of her top sellers to date.
4. You may remember a duet that Alicia Keys did with Usher a few years back. The song is called My Boo, and even though it was featured on Usher’s CD, this song is equally Usher’s and Alicia’s. This was another great song and the two of them worked really well together.
5. Number five on our all-time Alicia Keys list is a heartfelt song that might be her best lyrical work to date. Superwoman is a song that chronicles the challenges that so many women face in so many nations.
This song has been a hit on TV and in movies too, since it really makes for great background music to advertisements and other things.
These five songs are just a few of the many pop hits that Alicia Keys has produced over the course of a decade. Amazingly, she’s still young and something tells me that she may not have even reached her peak yet.
