AC/DC is one of those bands that everyone has heard of, and most people love. Their fans are spread worldwide. They are one of the most popular metal bands in music history. Their music, recorded, is amazing, but seeing them perform live is a completely different story. It is an experience you will never forget. Fans know they must do what it takes to get their hands on tickets and be at AC/DC’s live performances.
Angus and Malcolm Young, not only brothers, but they were the ones who were – originally – responsible for the birth of AC/DC. They started playing metal back in 1973. Not too many years passed before the band was recognized, and loved, globally. There is not one member of AC/DC that does not have a gift when it comes to music.
The Black Ice Tour was AC/DC’s most recent tour to date. In fact, it did not come to an end until 2010. The tour was — originally — scheduled to end before winter. However, the tour was so successful that a winter extension had been added. The AC/DC winter extension began in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in December, and finalized in Nashville at the end of January. Fans in Cleveland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and even Ontario were excited to see the band come their way too. Everyone, in North America, will have their chance to see AC/DC perform live during this tour.
Even during regularly scheduled tour dates and stops the band made record sales. Ticket sales broke records; the first 18 or so shows sold out within a matter of hours. Fans, worldwide, will do whatever it takes to get to a tour stop to see their favorite band perform live. So, not only did the band add a winter extension, but they added performances in large cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, and Oakland. There just weren’t enough showings to get everyone in, not until they extended it anyway. Nearly 40 years later and AC/DC can still rock the house with the best of them.
Whether a metal fan or not, AC/DC is special. Their passion, for music, puts them at the top of the list for metal bands in music history. Even in years to come, AC/DC will be known as one of the legends of metal. Hearing their music on the radio or CD is one thing, but seeing them live is another. Don’t miss your chance to see AC/DC perform live on their next tour!
