Learn And Master The Piano With Ease

Have you been dreaming to play a piano? Dream no more. Get on with the action. After all, playing the piano is not as difficult as people say it is. I can explain why this is so. Look at a guitar, for example. The space and the number of strings are limited. But when it comes to a piano, you will have at least 88 keys to meddle and make sound with. Isnt that a luxury?

The principle you need to live by when playing piano is to practice till you drop. Have you seen many kids performing on piano better than majority of adults? Well, their secret weapon is thorough practice. Practice makes your ears an expert in grabbing the music that escapes the piano and makes your fingers a master at manipulating keys. So in time to come, practice will make you a virtuoso.

The first thing to know before playing piano would be to learn how to read the music staff. A music staff consists of those famous five lines and four spaces between which the notes are written and placed on a sheet.

The clefs help you to distinguish the notations that are relevant to right and left hand, respectively. The right hand notations are shown by the treble clef and the left hand notations are shown by bass clef. Music manuscripts will have other signs and instructions to adhere to while playing a piece but at initial stages of learning piano music, these other instructions should not bother you.

It is a must that you learn how to read notes on the go. Some people make the mistake of translating music notations to alphabetical letters before playing. This is a huge no-no that should be avoided in piano music. So have patience and be dedicated to interpret music notations. In no time, you will become an expert.

On your first attempt to learn piano, you will need to learn how to locate the middle C as it is the most important note of all on a music script. Once you know the middle C it is easy for you to recognize rest of the keys.

Talking about other keys, it is a mystery for many people why piano tutors dont bother about the black keys at first. The concept of black keys is based upon flats and sharps which is a further step away from learning the basics. Therefore, you need to have a thorough understanding of the white keys and the basic C scale before you will be taught about sharps and flats.

As you may have realized by now, playing the piano sounds horrible but is not as bad when you get down to doing it. The vital points to remember are that it is a systematic which needs guidance and that it needs patience and dedication from part of the student. So if you are up to the challenge, simply do some online research on piano music and get yourself a piano tutor, even if it means enrolling in a virtual piano music class. Happy playing.
