Who hasn’t heard of the Jonas Brothers? Whether you’re at a cartoon watching age and spend your free time watching the Disney Channel or you’re a Broadway aficionado, you’ve got to be familiar with this band made up of three brothers – Nick, Joe and Kevin. Known to have been in the spot light since an early age, the brothers have made the most of it by exploring both their musical as well as their acting talents.
Since their first album as a band – It’s About Time, released in 2005 – they’ve been on the road just like other singers and bands promoting their albums and giving fans a chance to see them in action. The first set of the Jonas Brothers’ concerts, performed between November 5th and December 17th of 2005, were limited to the eastern part of the United States. Both the touring timeframe and the regions covered in the US increased with their subsequent tours.
Subsequently they toured extensively. The fact that they have had five tours goes to show how busy they’ve been on the live performance front. The five tours were named – American Club Tour, Marvelous Party Tour, Best of Both Worlds Tour, Look Me in the Eyes Tour and Burning Up Tour. The year 2008 also saw a Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM) – titled Camp Rock – starring the brothers, premier to a viewership of 8.9 million. That made it the DCOM to garner the second highest number of viewers behind High School Musical 2.
After all these tours across the US and album sales of over 8 million worldwide, the Jonas Brothers decided it was time for a world tour. The tour which is ongoing kicked off with its South American leg in Peru on the’th of May, 2009 and will go on right until the end of November. The tour includes stopovers at several countries in North America, Europe and South America.
You can be sure that all the Jonas Brothers’ tickets have been successfully sold for most of their concerts. No surprise considering their fan base of teenagers and youngsters. Those located in Australia and Asia have been a bit disappointed though. They were awaiting the announcement of dates for concerts on their continent but the Jonas Brothers haven’t yet mentioned anything about that though they did say they’d make them known after fixing their European and South American concert dates.
